We are seeking an experienced Principal Radar Engineer to join our team at Raytheon, working primarily onsite in Tucson, AZ.

Overview

About the Role

This role will involve supporting Radar Cross Section (RCS) measurement tests of developmental and production systems. Key responsibilities include creating test matrices and plans, selecting radar parameters and RF feeds, documenting activities related to test preparation, data analysis, design trades, prediction results, and more. You will configure lab data acquisition equipment, near-field SCI, and far-field Radarman instrumentation radar data collection systems. Additionally, you will configure target support and positioning systems, ensuring that all needed special test devices are designed, fabricated, or purchased and that all necessary fixturing is complete and correct.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Ten years' experience in calibrating, operating, or troubleshooting instrumentation radars for far-field RCS measurements
  • Experience using any RCS processing software for data analysis
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date

The salary range for this role is $118,000 - $246,000 per year. This estimate is based on the location, job requirements, and industry standards. Please note that this is a U.S.-based role, and appropriate pay structures and benefits will apply if the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory.
