Cedars Healthcare Center: Staff Development Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Staff Development Coordinator to join our team at Cedars Healthcare Center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing orientation and in-service education for facility employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess learning needs and design in-service and continuing education programs based on quality assurance data.
  • Develop, implement, communicate, and evaluate annual training plans.
  • Develop specific teaching plans and programs to cover training needs for all roles.
  • Work with the Director of Nursing to ensure quality care is held to the highest standard.
  • Be available on call.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.
  • Background or training in infection control is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification is desired.
