Job Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tree Care Professional to join our team at Lewis Tree Service Inc. as a Utility Lineworker. This is a dynamic role that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your expertise to ensure the safe and efficient removal of trees and branches from power lines.

In this position, you will be responsible for performing line clearing and tree trimming duties, pruning trees and limbs, removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, etc., and climbing trees for manual trimming and removals in and above the power lines. You will also prepare, operate, and maintain all tools and equipment, including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year's experience working as a Trimmer/Climber, with expertise in working around utility wires.
  • Knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits, and correct arboriculture techniques for trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining, and removing trees close to energized conductors.
  • Experience in tree climbing, knot tying, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to perform physical labor, lifting a minimum of 50 pounds to shoulder height or more.
  • Capability to operate two-handed equipment and endure extreme climate variances.
  • Willingness to obtain specialized training and certifications, such as local, state, and federal licenses, First Aid and CPR cards.
