UnityPoint Health is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatry Physician to join our team in the Quad Cities. About the Role

We are looking for a board-certified Psychiatry Physician to work directly with collaborating physicians and under the supervision of the Director of Outpatient Services of the Robert Young Center for Community Mental Health. As a Psychiatry Physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and managing clients' psychiatric illnesses, providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief psychotherapy.

Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic, prescriptive pharmacological treatments, and follow-up medication management to patients
  • Treat crisis situations and emergencies, as needed, including suicide lethality assessments
  • May provide on-call crisis services as part of the Mobile Crisis Team, an outpatient mental health service
  • Perform psychiatric hospital consults when requested within the 24-hour response time frame
  • Synthesize collected data to formulate clinical decisions regarding diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes for patients
  • Document and maintain accurate records, including medication records, according to established policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Illinois and Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Physician's field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
