Job Title: Regional Construction Manager

Amadis Consulting & Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Regional Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction division, you will be responsible for effectively managing the construction process, including staffing, training, and development, documentation of work performed, inventory control, equipment purchases and maintenance, and record keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate company services knowledge and continue to learn and educate in construction technique, equipment, technology, etc.
  • Review and perform scopes provided by the Project Director or Regional Mitigation Manager, including supplements and change orders.
  • Manage construction project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings and blueprints, and change orders, including photos and field reports; ensure completion of paperwork and maintain efficient and accurate flow of production paperwork from the job site to administration.
  • Ensure that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements. Manage all contract and change order costs, including negotiating, processing, and assessing impacts.
  • Manage equipment, materials/consumables, and labor on jobs for correct job costing and invoicing; oversee scheduling to control labor hours.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and status to Project Directors, Technicians, other team members, and customers, in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Ensure safety compliance with OSHA guidelines, as well as CRC Safety Standards. Identify and follow safety protocols for lead and asbestos containing materials.
  • Assist in creation and management of the on-call process; participate in the on-call process, ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule of technicians, laborers, and subcontractors for best use of resources.
  • Meet or exceed established margin targets and performance standards on every job.
  • Evaluate and select contractors and subcontractors based on qualifications, experience, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain a proper working relationship with vendors and subcontractors.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Construction Project Manager
  • Multi-family and commercial construction experience
  • Must have strong foundational understanding of large exterior and interior construction
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to perform well under pressure
  • Working knowledge with MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as scheduling programs (MS Project)
  • Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and other documents including Xactimate scopes of work
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel regionally for extended periods of time
  • Must have a valid drivers' license and clean driving record, clean background, as well as pass a drug screening
  • Good organizational skills
  • The ability to process information quickly and follow through with a course of action
  • A demonstrated knowledge of construction processes
  • Knowledge of building codes and blueprints
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to:
  • Lifting and carrying 50 pounds.
  • Operate heavy equipment.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs.
  • Working in confined spaces and in close proximity to loud equipment.
