Job Summary

Purpose:

As a Shuttle Driver at BMW of West Houston, you will play a vital role in enhancing our customers' positive service experience by safely transporting them to and from their homes or offices while service is being performed on their vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Valet vehicles to and from service lanes, service stalls, and parking lots as needed

• Maintain a clean and organized service area, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning driveways, sidewalks, lunch rooms, and technician stalls

• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies as needed

• Empty and clean trash receptacles, both inside and out

• Remove old scrap parts from the shop

• Assist technicians with oil and water spills and emptying drain tubs

• Run errands as directed by the foreman

• Understand and adhere to OSHA Right-to-Know regulations and use proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection

• Drive customers to their homes or places of business and pick them up after their vehicle is repaired

• Utilize good judgment and safe driving skills

• Maintain a timely shuttle route

• Assist passengers getting in and out of vehicles

• Operate a radio or similar device to communicate with the dealership or other vehicles to report disruptions in service

• Keep a record of trips, including names of passengers and destination or pick-up points

• Notify the dispatcher or service manager of any servicing the shuttle vehicle may require, such as oil changes, tires, cleaning, and general maintenance

• Maintain a professional appearance

• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a safe and clean work area

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license
