Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Norman Regional Health System. As a key member of our clinical nutrition team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nutrition care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Clinical Nutrition Supervisor and Department Director to enhance clinical nutrition care at NRHS.
  • Provide inpatient care as a Registered Dietitian.
  • Establish, implement, and evaluate nutrition care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality nutrition care.
  • Precept clinical interns and students.
  • Serve as a liaison between the clinical nutrition team and other disciplines and providers.
  • Provide training to the clinical team and other departments.
Requirements
  • Education: Any program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that leads to registration as a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD/RDN).
  • Basic knowledge of subspecialty areas, including nutrition support, diabetes, cardiology, renal, and oncology.
  • Maintain approximately 15 hours of continuing education credits per calendar year.
  • Stay current with new findings and research.
  • Experience: Knowledge of different formulas for assessing patient nutritional needs.
  • Completion of general and patient care orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Preferred: Six months of clinical experience in an acute care facility.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma State license.
  • Must achieve registration within the first 6 months of eligibility or hire date.
  • Must obtain a food handler's permit from Cleveland County Health department before hire (or within one week of hire).
Compensation and Benefits
  • $1,000 Sign-On Bonus Included.
  • $23.57-$37.37/hr depending on previous work experience.
  • $2.50/hr Premium for being PRN.
