Oncology Medical Assistant Proceduralist

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant Proceduralist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide clinical support to patients and physicians in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with office-based procedures, adhering to aseptic technique and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and specimens.
• Perform low and high-level disinfection procedures, as well as point-of-care testing, to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
• Take vital signs, administer medications, and perform simple diagnostic tests, all while maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms, ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient care, equipment preparation, and aseptic technique during procedures.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of orientation and competency validation for independently preparing for and assisting with all department-specific procedures and point-of-care testing.
