About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Analytical Scientist to join our Pharmaceutical Development team at Granules. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of analytical methods for our pharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement analytical methods for pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve analytical method development and validation issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior scientists, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure that analytical methods meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Analyze data and report results to stakeholders, providing recommendations for process improvements and method enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field, with 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry OR Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field with 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience with software and information systems, such as Empower and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven knowledge of major analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC, dissolution, FT-IR, UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Particle size analysis, Karl Fisher Instrument, Potentiometric Titration, Density meter, pH meter, Melting point apparatus, Analytical Balances, Viscometer.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 12-hour shifts), maneuver at least 40 pounds, wear a respirator and pass associated respirator tests and/or requirements, and be able to wear all required PPE.
  • Vision - ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
