Job Summary:

The Computerized Axial Tomography department at Guthrie is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to maintain the daily function of the department. As a CT Technologist, you will perform a variety of technical procedures, including the control of ionizing radiation producing equipment for radiological diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate scanning procedures at the proper anatomical level.
  • Check prescriptions, provisional diagnoses, hospital charts, and patient identification.
  • Explain procedures to patients, means of communication during scans, and procedures to follow in case of emergencies.
  • Prepare rooms and equipment according to anatomical areas to be scanned.
  • Select correct computer protocols and initiate scans while maintaining visual and audible communication with patients.
  • Operate Electronic Health Records, scan equipment, contrast injectors, and PACS systems.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree with additional skills training and certification.
  • ARRT(R) Certification required; Advanced certification (ARRT)(CT) preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in CT and/or other subspecialty areas.
