About This Opportunity



Baylor Scott White Health is seeking a highly motivated and organized Medical Research Coordinator to join our team in the Trauma Research Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in human subjects' research, including recruitment, consenting, and enrollment in an inpatient setting, as well as regulatory maintenance.



Job Summary



This position assists various Principal Investigators in conducting clinical trials during all phases of trials, from pre-study implementation through study closure. You will learn to assist Principal Investigators on more complex studies and seek guidance from senior roles when needed.



Responsibilities




  • Implement various protocols for assigned research projects, interacting with PIs, clinical managers, and supervisors.
  • Create, facilitate, and/or execute project workflows based on trial protocol needs.
  • Ensure appropriate billing mechanisms are in place for research charges related to studies.
  • Perform informed consent and entry into research studies, ensuring inclusion and exclusion criteria are met.
  • Partner and coordinate with regulatory compliance, preparing IRB materials and submitting IND Safety forms.
  • Obtain knowledge of departmental functions through literature, workshops, seminars, conferences, and professional organizations.
  • Conduct study-monitoring visits, audits, and quality checks of research studies.


Requirements




  • Research certification or other certifications preferred.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage time-reactive projects to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Salary Estimate



The estimated salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
