Transportation Project Lead

Robert D Gilmore & Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to lead projects for private clients and municipalities.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and submit regulatory permit applications for traffic signal permitting and highway occupancy permitting.
- Develop and review bid plans and specifications.
- Conduct quality control reviews for plans and reports.
- Compose letters, memoranda, reports, applications, and studies.
- Coordinate projects with transportation staff, clients, contractors, attorneys, and residents.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering college or university.
- EIT certification and PE license in Pennsylvania or New Jersey are a plus.
- 0-10+ years of experience in transportation, highway, and/or traffic engineering.
- Experience in highway design and traffic engineering.
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulatory and permitting requirements.
- Previous experience in assisting with municipal traffic engineering reviews.
- Microsoft Office, Synchro, and HCM.
- Experience with PennDOT ECMS document uploading and maneuvering within ECMS.
- Organized and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to compose complex reports and orally communicate technical information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Demonstrates the highest degree of ethical behavior and candor.
- Ability to understand complex problems and collaborate to explore alternative solutions.
- General knowledge of traffic engineering and transportation engineering.
- Possess experience with Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with PennDOT ECMS document uploading/maneuvering and ePermitting and TSAMS process.
- Comfortable performing in an environment that requires independent evaluation, judgment, and decision-making.
- Must possess a passion for excellence and a drive for continued development and growth.
- Occasional regional travel required.
- Ability to work additional and/or nonstandard office hours, as required.
