Cyber Security Expert

The role of Cyber Security Expert at JYG Innovations involves conducting code scans using tools such as Checkmarx, analyzing security outcomes, and providing actionable feedback to the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM).

This position is ideal for a cybersecurity professional with a strong background in analysis, particularly with code scanning tools and compliance frameworks. The successful candidate will contribute to securing systems through vigilant assessment and remediation.

About the Job:

• Perform thorough reviews of code scans to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance issues.
• Analyze scan results, prioritize findings based on risk level, and collaborate with security stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational security requirements.
• Conduct regular Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) reviews and make necessary corrections to maintain compliance with security standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of STIG guidelines and system configurations to ensure adherence to these standards.
• Apply the NIST 800-37 Risk Management Framework (RMF) to assess, mitigate, and document security risks.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure that systems align with RMF and other relevant security frameworks.
• Support the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process by identifying, documenting, and mitigating risks in line with organizational security requirements.
• Prepare security documentation for ATO packages, ensuring all security concerns are addressed and documented.

Requirements:

• DOD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC)
• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 6 years work experience directly relating to cybersecurity support
• Must be able to pass a background screening
• Secret Clearance

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
