Job Overview

This position offers a $15,000 commitment incentive, paid over a three-year work commitment. The incentive will be provided in equal installments after each six months of work completed.

The role involves conducting complex procedures and tests using Computed Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data. You will work in collaboration with various teams, including Trauma, Stroke, and Cardiology, to obtain necessary imaging for advanced diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts complex CT procedures and tests to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data, working collaboratively with teams to obtain necessary imaging for advanced diagnoses.
  • Assists radiologists in performing high-risk invasive diagnostic techniques, such as needle biopsies and CT-guided joint injections, while demonstrating competence and contributing input for alternative approaches.
  • Evaluates contraindications, notifies care teams, and coordinates appropriate care prior to patient arrival, if possible.
  • Performs CTA perfusion, Code IA/Stroke/Bat, Red Trauma Series, Yellow Trauma Series, ROSC, and Portable CT procedures, as defined by procedure and/or physician, and trains CT Tech I team members on these exams.
  • Recognizes diagnostic characteristics of normal and abnormal scans, anatomy, and questionable findings, alerting radiologists for escalation of and/or additional care.
  • Demonstrates ability to manipulate parameters for CT Gated Watchman and Cardiac exams, including monitoring devices and equipment computer parameters.
  • Analyzes scan data throughout the examination to complete a comprehensive exam and provide sufficient data to physicians, along with notes regarding complications that may have impacted image quality.
  • Trikes care for general anesthesia (adult/pediatric) exams, provides education for care teams, ensures optimal parameters, equipment settings, contrast administration, and post-processing of images.
  • Obtains images per protocols, manipulates images according to protocols, performs multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, demonstrates a thorough knowledge of CT algorithms, and selects appropriate window and level settings according to anatomy.
  • Administers oral and rectal contrast to adult and pediatric patients, establishes intravenous lines, administers IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures, and follows correct procedure to determine contrast eligibility.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science with an advanced registry in Computed Tomography.
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible, providing a copy of diploma from accredited program.
  • Requires advanced certification in CT and maintenance of current competency in HCP BLS.
  • Three years of experience as a CT Technologist.
Estimated Salary Range

$29.98 - $43.10 per hour (Hiring Range)
