At Mass General Brigham, we are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist to join our team in Medford, Massachusetts. Job Summary:

The Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Surgical ICU Stepdown unit at Ellison 8. This is a 36-bed adult population unit that cares for patients with all aspects of heart disease appropriate for surgical intervention.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac nursing and be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions of care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans
Requirements:
  • Curently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Massachusetts
  • Minimum one year of experience in a cardiovascular or critical care setting
  • Telemetry experience is preferred
  • Ability to work day/night rotation, including weekends and holidays
