Public Health Coordinator

CrescentCare is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Public Health Coordinator. In this role, you will assist with prevention research projects focused on BIPOC communities, conduct HIV/STI/Hepatitis C counseling, testing, and referrals, and provide sexual health education and outreach to youth.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with prevention research projects, surveys, and interviews with community informants
- Conduct HIV/STI/Hepatitis C counseling, testing, and referrals
- Provide sexual health education and outreach to youth
- Assist program staff in coordinating events that serve priority populations
- Recruit for prevention programs and research studies
- Assist with prevention front desk reception and communication with potential clients and program participants
- High School degree/GED/HiSet required
- Louisiana Drivers' License required
- 1 year experience in public health or relevant work preferred
- Experience with key populations, especially youth and BIPOC community as well as other populations facing barriers to care preferred
