Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

The Software Engineering Manager at WellSky is responsible for leading a high-performing team of engineers and testers in delivering business value and achieving business objectives. This role requires a strong customer focus, resourcefulness, and keen business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze system requirements and specifications to develop actionable work units for the team.
  • Conduct system analysis and proof of concepts to determine best design or solution.
  • Research and recommend software tools, frameworks, and emerging technologies as needed.
  • Lead and/or create architecture and/or design to meet requirements, integrating disparate systems, or managing changing technologies.
  • Enforce the development of unit tests, automated tests, and performance tests to ensure quality.
  • Capture and analyze performance test metrics and provide operational documentation.
  • Review documentation, such as implementation manuals, support manuals, and performance testing guidelines, as needed.
  • Work with Solution Management and business stakeholders to understand key business and product requirements.
  • Responsible for sustaining and supporting technology and platform to ensure high performance, stability, and availability.
  • Develop and mentor talent, conduct performance reviews, and provide effective development feedback.
  • Responsible for project planning and execution following an Agile/Scrum process.
  • Manage project budget and ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery of product roadmap commitment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience.
  • 4-6 years related work experience.
  • Proficient in .NET/.NET Core, Angular, JavaScript.
  • Expertise with cloud computing platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure.
  • Experience with designing and deploying applications in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • GCP experience.

Additional job expectations include willingness to work additional or irregular hours as needed, working in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, and performing other responsibilities as assigned.
