About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Officer of the Day/House Supervisor. In this key position, you will collaborate with the Medical Officer of the Day and Administrative Officer of the Day to ensure seamless care for our patients. Your leadership skills and expertise will be essential in providing direction to nursing teams and facilitating smooth patient flow within the medical center.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in daily bed flow planning and patient movement coordination
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels meet established nursing hours per patient day requirements
  • Facilitate inter-facility transfers and coordinate transportation arrangements
  • Communicate effectively with local and VISN UM teams, backup staff, and leadership
  • Provide clinical expertise in reviewing quality of care, chart reviews, performance measures, and code response situations
