Job Title: Loading Dock Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Loading Dock Operations Supervisor to join our team at Careericq. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the loading dock operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of goods, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of loading dock associates to ensure timely and accurate loading and unloading of goods.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve loading dock efficiency, safety, and productivity.
  • Manage inventory levels, track shipments, and resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including transportation, warehousing, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize loading dock operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to loading dock associates to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to loading dock operations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proven track record of improving efficiency, productivity, and safety in a loading dock or warehouse environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Working Conditions:

The Loading Dock Operations Supervisor will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental hazards. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
