About the Role:

Stellant Systems Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to support the production and test of our Xenon Ion Propulsion (XIPS) Power Controller (XPC) at our Torrance facility.

This role will be primarily responsible for troubleshooting hardware, providing EEE component guidance for the XPC high voltage power supply, and providing technical support and guidance to a team of engineers and operation individuals to meet production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project engineering and high voltage power supply circuit design
  • Testing and troubleshooting of circuits
  • Supporting customer meetings, milestones, and guiding the team through those events
  • Actively seeking out innovative technologies and overseeing new product development to ensure continued industry leadership
  • Supporting new business activity through proposal review and improvements on current designs

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree in a related field, EE preferred, with post graduate work a plus
  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a project engineer, design engineer or similar, with work in the space industry a massive plus
  • Knowledge of circuit design tools a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing industry-standard root cause corrective action (RCCA) methodologies
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications is necessary
