Facilities Maintenance Technician I

Jubilant HollisterStier LLC, a leading pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician I to join our team in Spokane, Washington.
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for providing routine facility and equipment maintenance, monitoring and operating HVAC systems, and performing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other installed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, install, replace, and service various types of facility equipment and systems, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, equipment operator, carpenter, painter, and/or locksmith.
- Maintain process water and equipment, including preventative maintenance tasks and operational data.
- Maintain electrical distribution and equipment, including preventative maintenance tasks and operational data.
- Maintain compressed air systems and equipment, including preventative maintenance tasks and operational data.
- Operate and maintain boilers and associated equipment, and piping systems, including preventative maintenance tasks and operational data.
- Assist in maintaining WFI water treatment, storage, and distribution system.
- Perform routine checks and inspections to ensure that all systems are functioning properly.
- Evaluate equipment breakdown and conduct mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
- Order and maintain replacement and spare parts for the facility and equipment.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of GMP, SOP, and FDA requirements.
- Perform snow removal as required.
- Document facilities maintenance requirements and create and maintain appropriate records of work performed in the computerized maintenance management system.
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of resources.
- Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Interact with manufacturers, vendors, and operations to resolve issues and concerns.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as necessary to complete tasks and assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Respond to emergency facility repair needs promptly and effectively.
- Contribute to the improvement plans for facility maintenance projects.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all areas of the building related to utility rooms, pump rooms, electrical areas, and equipment mezzanines.
Requirements:
- 0-3 years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in a campus environment, plant facility, or related industry (preferably pharmaceutical).
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
- Ability to repair and maintain appliances and heating and cooling equipment.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Pays attention to detail; work is accurate and meets all standards and requirements.
Compensation:
This position pays $23.53 - $31.83, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion, and annual raises.
