Occupational Therapist

Humboldt County Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients by helping them regain their independence and functionality.

As an Occupational Therapist with our hospital, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with a range of physical and cognitive disabilities. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs and goals.

• Evaluate patients' physical and cognitive abilities to identify areas for improvement and develop effective treatment plans.
• Administer occupational therapy treatments, including exercises, activities, and modalities, to help patients recover from injury or illness.
• Assess and adapt equipment and technology to meet patients' needs and promote independent living.
• Supervise and educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper use of equipment and techniques.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Iowa or eligibility for licensure in Iowa.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
