Job Summary

Catholic Health Service is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, the largest in-patient psychiatric facility in Suffolk County. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing holistic, patient-centered care and advocacy services for adults aged 18 and older with a primary diagnosis of mental illness.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and overall management of care for the Psychiatric patient population
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in Psychiatry/Behavioral Health/Mental Health preferred
  • New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
