Job Description

The Blood Collection Professional represents the face of TalentBurst to patients who come in for their health routine or life-defining health decisions. As a skilled phlebotomist, you will draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.

You will have direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The ideal candidate will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment at all times.
  • Draw quality blood samples from patients using pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collection methods.
  • Prepare blood specimens for lab testing while adhering to established protocols.
  • Verify patient demographic information and initials before and after venipuncture to ensure accurate labeling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation, including patient information and specimen collection data.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of THREE years of phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; medical training or paramedic certification is preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification is preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington states.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision and maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime shifts.
Estimated Salary:

$35,000 - $50,000 per year, based on location and experience.
