Job Description

The Professional Therapist - Patient Care Specialist is a key role in the Houston Methodist team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment and Treatment Planning

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patients' levels of function and develop individualized treatment plans that promote optimal outcomes.

Collaboration with Healthcare Team

Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and effective care coordination.

Patient Education and Support

Provide personalized education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery and overall well-being.

Treatment Implementation and Progress Monitoring

Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed to achieve optimal results.

Clinical Documentation and Communication

Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient interactions, treatments, and progress, ensuring clear communication with the healthcare team and other stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Education and Licensure

A graduate degree from an accredited physical therapy program and current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT).

Skills and Competencies

Demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Experience and Certifications

Salary and Benefits
