Job Summary

As a Speech Language Pathologist at the University of California, you will play a vital role in the wellness, prevention, rehabilitation, and optimization of individuals' physical, sensory, and mental capabilities and functional abilities and outcomes. This position involves working as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing evaluation, diagnosis, and rehabilitation therapy services within the specialty area of speech therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and rehabilitation therapy services to patients with communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech therapy to provide evidence-based care.

Requirements
  • Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist by the State of California.
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an educational institution approved by the Board of Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Passage of a Board-approved examination.
  • Certificate of clinical competence in speech pathology awarded by the American Speech and Hearing Association.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in evaluating and treating professional voice.
  • Experience in providing gender affirming voice care.
  • Interest and/or experience in clinical research.

Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Compensation
  • Annual Full Pay Range: $118,302 - $156,085 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
  • Hourly Equivalent: $74.75
