As a Cybersecurity Operations Leader, you will be responsible for:

Leadership

Providing strategic direction and leadership to the cybersecurity operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Incident Response

Leading and coordinating incident response activities, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation of cybersecurity threats and incidents.

Threat Management

Managing threat intelligence programs and leading efforts to proactively identify and mitigate emerging cyber threats.

Vulnerability Management

Implementing and overseeing vulnerability assessment and management programs to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in a timely manner.

Security Tool Management

Evaluating, implementing, and managing security tools and technologies to enhance SCCU's cybersecurity defenses.

Compliance and Risk Management

Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, NIST, FFIEC) and managing cybersecurity risks effectively. Participating in internal and external audits to demonstrate adherence to these standards.

Team Development

Recruiting, mentoring, and developing cybersecurity operations team members, fostering their professional growth and technical expertise.

Collaboration

Working closely with other IT teams, business units, and senior management to align cybersecurity initiatives with SCCU's business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's) and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.
  • 10-15 years experience in cybersecurity operations with at least 5 years in a leadership role required. Experience in the financial services industry or a similarly regulated environment is highly desirable.

Standard hours are M - F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional after hours support.
