The Role

We're seeking a skilled Corporate Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you'll provide day-to-day legal assistance, partner with cross-functional teams, and provide legal support in various areas of practice, including employment law, contracts, IP, corporate governance, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and/or negotiate contracts, licenses, and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice to management and draft necessary documents to protect the company's interests.
  • Review proposed and existing legislation affecting the company and provide legal advice accordingly.
  • Conduct legal research and anticipate and guard against legal risks involving the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, practices, and training to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage corporate ethics and compliance program, including contract database maintenance.
  • Partner with external counsel and manage relationships.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A JD degree.
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar or eligibility for admission as authorized In-House Counsel.
  • 4-7 years' experience as a Staff or Corporate Attorney.
  • Experience with a broad range of business transactional matters, including counseling, negotiating, and document drafting.
  • Experience in general corporate, intellectual property, and/or employment and benefits law.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and make good decisions based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and business acumen.
