Job Title: Electronic Technician
The Electronic Technician will support plant production within the Maintenance department. The Electronic Technician will perform repairs, constructs, installs, maintains, designs, troubleshoots, and tests electronic equipment, VFDs, PLCs, machinery, and components. Conducts preventative maintenance and identifies parts for replacement. The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Inspect electrical and electronic systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards
- Test electrical and electronic systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, circuit boards, and equipment, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
- Design, assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic equipment
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Carry out preventive maintenance per the schedule and work instructions provided
- Specify electronics, sensors, VFDs, PLCs, instruments and associated equipment
- Work with DC to 480V 3 phase electrical systems
- Understand and follow Lock-out Tag-out, Confined space and Fall protection policies
- Keep areas clean and practice good housekeeping in work areas
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or apprenticeship as Electronic Technician preferred
- Certification in engineering or electronics preferred
- MS Office and diagnostic software
Experience
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an electronic technician or similar role, hands-on experience with electronic testing and circuitry, familiarity working with various tools and equipment, and excellent physical condition and hand-eye coordination. Additionally, the candidate should be able to read and understand technical drawings, read and understand technical and engineering specifications and instructions, and be experienced with DC to 480V 3 phase electrical systems. The candidate should also be able to read and interpret work instructions and requirements/specifications, test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system, and machinery repairs ie; Motors, Gear boxes, controls, etc. CNC, VFD, and PLC skills preferred, Thermocouple and machine network skills preferred.
Work Schedule
The work schedule for this role is Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM. The pay range for this role is $40.41/hour. Applicants must be either U.S. citizens, green card holders, or permanent residents of the United States to be considered for this position.
