Overview

As an SLPA, you will work closely with a speech-language pathologist to support students with communication and language development needs. Your role will involve conducting assessments, creating therapy plans, and collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure student success.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting thorough speech and language assessments to identify student needs
  • Create and implement individualized therapy plans to support student communication and language development
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to develop and implement strategies to support student learning
  • Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed
  • Conduct one-on-one or small group therapy sessions under the supervision of an SLP
Requirements
  • Valid licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in California
  • Must be bilingual
  • Experience working with K-12 students preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a school-based environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
