Job Title: Engineer III - Quality Assurance

At Inland Empire Health Plan, we are committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services to our members. As an Engineer III - Quality Assurance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our IT systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Quality Assurance efforts on IT projects and provide support to various departments in IT.
  • Develop and execute test strategies and plans for large and complex projects.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors to develop test strategies and plans, making recommendations to mitigate project risks.
  • Develop test cases, test scenarios, and test criteria to effectively test configured software and custom-developed IT applications.
  • Coordinate with business users to develop functional application requirements and detailed system requirements.
  • Perform functional black box testing of IT applications to identify issues and defects.
  • Work with project teams to communicate and prioritize known issues and defects.
  • Maintain libraries of application requirements, specifications, test cases, defect logs, and test results.
  • Perform regression testing on existing applications.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business partners.
  • Collaborate with the IEHP System Security Administrator to ensure security standards are followed.
  • Develop and run automated test scripts and evaluate results.
  • Develop and maintain user instructions, operational instructions, process documentation, and program documentation.
  • Develop SQL reports as needed to investigate data-related issues.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on issues and defects and work towards developing solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required, preferably with a major in Information Technology, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Healthcare. In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position.

Proficiency with Microsoft PC desktop applications, including Excel, Word, Project, and Visio. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and mentor other Quality Assurance resources.
