Job Description


As a School Psychologist with Soliant, you will be responsible for conducting thorough psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, social-emotional functioning, and developmental levels. You will interpret assessment results and provide valuable insights to inform instructional planning, intervention strategies, and individualized education plans (IEPs). Your expertise will be sought by teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and behavior management strategies.



Responsibilities



  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, social-emotional functioning, and developmental levels.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide insights to inform instructional planning, intervention strategies, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and behavior management strategies.
  • Provide counseling and support services to students individually or in group settings, addressing a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
  • Consult with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders to foster effective partnerships and support students' overall well-being and academic success.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including 504 meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and contribute expertise in addressing students' needs and goal-setting.
  • Stay current with research, best practices, and legal requirements related to school psychology and special education.


Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need to have:



  • A Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • A valid license or certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Proficient in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting assessment results.
  • Sound knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • A strong understanding of various behavioral intervention strategies and positive behavior support systems.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
