Job Description:
We're seeking a skilled Assistant Fund Manager to join our Private Equity team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:
- Reviewing daily cash contributions and distributions for investment fund clients
- Inquiring about cash and journal entries
- Assisting in the preparation and review of investment entries, valuations, capital calls, and distributions
- Assisting with preparing and reviewing audited financials and supporting schedules and liaison with auditors
- Participating in quarterly and annual audit functions
- Assisting with open items lists and auditor communications
- Regular communication with clients, responding and coordinating responses to inquiries in a timely manner and with a sense of urgency
- Understanding the governing agreements between Alter Domus and the client
Your Profile:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Private Equity Fund Accounting or Auditing experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An in-depth understanding of different types of investments: equity, debt, co-invest, and FoF
- Keen attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- The ability to multitask, working both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- CPA or intention to obtain CPA, preferred
