Job Title: Internal Integrity Investigator

Job Summary:

The State of South Carolina is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Integrity Investigator to join our team. As an Internal Integrity Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting administrative inquiries into allegations of abuse, neglect, and other potential policy violations within our organization. You will also perform management reviews of programs and services to assess their effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct administrative inquiries into allegations of abuse, neglect, and other potential policy violations
* Perform management reviews of programs and services to assess their effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with policies and procedures
* Identify systemic and organizational deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement
* Investigate administrative case allegations of abuse/neglect and other potential policy violations
* Obtain and develop evidence and secure information for use in appropriate proceedings
* Prepare necessary investigative reports of factual findings
* Maintain case records, including hard case files

Requirements:

* A high school diploma and experience performing criminal investigative or administrative investigative duties with a public law enforcement agency
* A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required law enforcement experience
* Certification by the Law Enforcement Training Council in accordance with State Statute-Section
* General knowledge of investigative techniques and procedures
* Knowledge of modern police administration and police work
* Ability to coordinate with other law enforcement agencies
* Requires knowledge of applicable laws and state regulations pertaining to the rights of juveniles
* Essential knowledge of techniques and methods of investigations and report writing required
* Must have a working knowledge of the Juvenile Justice system
* Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with juveniles, staff, public, and private advocacy groups
* Position requires proficiency in reviewing and analyzing programs and services for efficiency, effectiveness, policy compliance, and judgment in developing findings and recommendations
* Must demonstrate independence in setting work schedules and meeting deadlines
* Must exercise discretion in reaching conclusions regarding abuse/neglect and other policy compliance issues
