Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Operations Specialist to join our team in Devils Lake, ND. In this role, you will work in the barley house, grading grain, assisting customers, loading out cars, and performing general clean-up and maintenance. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to train as a Custom Applicator, operating a high-clearance sprayer or floater in the Spring and Fall.

Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers and crop protection products under general supervision, including the use of high-clearance sprayers or floaters.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, educating them on products, techniques, and services.
  • Assist sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and patron needs are met.
  • Perform warehouse work, including driving loaders, forklifts, mechanics, and maintenance.
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery/equipment.
  • Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
  • Perform general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, including maintenance, grounds maintenance, equipment inspection, and record-keeping.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, and/or Agriculture Application.
  • Meet minimum age requirement.
Additional Qualifications
  • Meet DOT and Company requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
  • Ability to work additional hours to meet business demand.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Applicator's license, chemical application education, and experience, forklift certification, and farming/agriculture background preferred.
  • Pre-employment screening may be required, including drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements, and FMSCA Clearinghouse.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and load up to 75 lbs.
