Medical Surgical Ortho Registered Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Ortho Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute care setting, providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with a talented interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop effective plans of care, and implement evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policy, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to non-licensed staff, promoting efficient workflow and maximizing productivity.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in an acute care setting – preferred
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – preferred
