Health Technician

The US Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Health Technician to join our team. As a Health Technician, you will provide administrative and clinical support to primary care specialty physicians and other providers in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers in examining and treating patients
- Take and record vital signs and medical histories, prepare patients for examination, draw blood, and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Provide interpretation of technical information
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Ensure supply areas are kept stocked and clutter-free
- Must pass pre-employment examination
- Selectee may be subject to a probationary period
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
This is a designated position covered by Public Law, requiring contact or control over Indian children. Due to this requirement, the agency must ensure that persons hired for these positions have not been found guilty of or pleaded nolo contendere or guilty to certain crimes.
Measles and Rubella immunization is required for selectees born after 1957, and seasonal influenza immunization is required for all staff working in Indian Health Service healthcare facilities.
COVID-19 vaccination is required for all selectees prior to entrance on duty.
The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain certified medical assistant requirements, including any licensure requirements.
Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
