Job Summary
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Family Services Specialist to join our team. As a Family Services Specialist, you will be responsible for providing social services to individuals and families in need. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide social services to individuals and families in need, including case management, counseling, and advocacy.
* Develop and implement individualized service plans to meet the needs of clients.
* Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure comprehensive services are provided to clients.
* Monitor and track client progress, making adjustments to service plans as needed.

Requirements
* A Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or a related field with a minimum of two years of experience in a Human Services area.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
* Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle safely.

Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of and experience with child welfare programs, including Adult Protective Services, Child Protective Services, and Foster Care.
* Possession of a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and a Commonwealth of Virginia Social Worker license.
* Prior work experience in social services or an internship in human services.
