We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Admissions Counselor to join our team in Lewiston, ME. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and guiding prospective Job Corps enrollees through the application process, providing career-based counseling, and recruiting eligible youth for our program.

• Determine basic eligibility and conduct screening for prospective enrollees
• Provide career-based counseling and guidance to applicants
• Recruit eligible and suitable youth for the Job Corps Program
• Interface with other outreach contractors and determine student qualifications for enrollment
• Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, and public events
• Meet departmental and center goals and objectives
• Perform applicant file procedures, including data entry and scanning documents
• Participate in departmental meetings and coordinate with centers to support applicants
• Perform Quality Assurance Checks on all applicant files
• Communicate effectively and model appropriate CSS and employability skills

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field
• Associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and two years related experience
• Experience working with diverse youth and a valid driver's license in the state of employment
