At Houston Methodist Academic Institute, we are seeking a Senior Clinical Research Professional to join our team. This role is responsible for leading complex clinical research projects, planning, executing, and completing projects under the supervision of a Principal Investigator.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct patient contact in support of clinical protocols.

  • Enroll subjects into prospective studies and obtain informed consent from patients and their legally authorized representatives according to hospital policy and study protocol.

  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator, interprofessional research team, fellowship stakeholders, and healthcare professionals regularly for problem resolution and/or achievement of research study goals.

  • Serve as a mentor and provide educational and research oversight for other learners in the applicable department or research lab. Role model effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication, including active listening and teaching, assisting in the development of such skills. Provide contributions towards improving department scores for employee engagement, i.e., peer-to-peer accountability.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school, Pharm D, or Doctoral degree (PhD) in a medical field.

  • Clinical Research Fellow 0 - None

  • Clinical Research Fellow 1 - One year of post-terminal experience

  • Clinical Research Fellow 2 - Two years of post-terminal experience

  • Clinical Research Fellow 3 - Three years of post-terminal experience

  • Clinical Research Fellow 4 - Four years of post-terminal experience

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
