Job Title:
Rigging Specialist (GBORO MARU TG)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Rigging Specialist to join our team for a project in DeSoto, KS. The successful candidate will assist with the positioning of heavy equipment, rigging, and other related tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the positioning of chain falls, hoists, blocks, rope, jacks, chains, and rigging as directed by the Rigger.
2. Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be moved.
3. Working knowledge in working with attaching rigging to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms with bolts and clamps.
4. Inspect work sites to determine presence of obstructions.
5. Give verbal and hand signals as assigned.
6. Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
7. Secure material and rigging equipment for transport.
8. Perform housekeeping of areas and of packing materials.
9. Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
10. Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
2. Complete all Safety and general job training as required by EMCOR Group.
3. Observe EMCOR Group and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

The successful candidate must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.

The candidate must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.

Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.

The candidate must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.

The candidate must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
