Overview

The Shift Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of Pollo Campero. As a key member of the leadership team, this individual is responsible for training, developing, and leading the crew to ensure exceptional customer experiences. Key responsibilities include planning shifts, verifying compliance with procedures and protocols, attending to and resolving operational issues, and assisting the General Manager. Additionally, the Shift Manager is responsible for coaching and leading a team with minimal supervision, involving themselves in operational and technical training of employees, and maintaining a positive atmosphere of teamwork and energy. Furthermore, they are responsible for verifying customer satisfaction, handling customer complaints, and applying a continuous improvement mindset to processes and procedures. The Shift Manager is also responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, assisting with inventory, staffing needs, and controllables, as well as maintaining overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils. Finally, they must follow and abide by all safety rules, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must be at least 18 years of age, fluent in English and Spanish, and possess a strong ability to lift and push 50 pounds. Additionally, they must be able to stand for long periods, work nights, weekends, and holidays, and possess a Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certification. The ideal candidate must also be able to work with computers, follow company Personal Care and Hygiene policies, produce authorized U.S. work documents, and pass a background check.
