Job Description

As a Senior Principal Product Manager within Oracle's Media Services business, you will play a key role in identifying, defining, and delivering cloud services and product offerings that will enable streaming providers to seamlessly transition their workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Our charter is the delivery of a new set of best-in-class cloud services targeted specifically at enterprise customers in the media and entertainment industry. You will be responsible for building the product roadmap for a unique competitive offering from the ground up and extend the reach of OCI to green field opportunities in the M&E industry, spanning service offerings across content delivery, playback, content augmentation, and streaming analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap across multiple cloud service offerings.

Write product strategy as an input to product design; conduct relevant market research, analyze industry trends, and have a deep understanding of the competitive landscape.

Work directly with key customers to understand their requirements and business needs; build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand evolving needs.

Represent product roadmap and strategy to customers and collaborators; champion opportunities for Oracle to build differentiated services and features.

Write well-understood and clear functional requirements; white papers and strategy document writing will be regular parts of the role, to keep senior leadership and executives in-step with organizational vision and delivery against that vision.

Manage technical tradeoffs, balancing customer experience, time to market, functional completeness, and costs.

Drive the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to requirements and quality standards in collaboration with partner service organizations.

Collaborate with engineering teams to oversee the development process, providing guidance and support as needed.

Monitor and analyze product performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. MBA is a plus.

Proven experience (10+ years) in product management in the media and entertainment industry, specifically in streaming product ecosystems.

Strong technical understanding of cloud infrastructure and/or distributed enterprise systems architecture.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a track record of successful product launches.

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
