Position Overview

The University of California, Irvine School of Law invites applications for tenured/tenure-track faculty positions with a start date of July 1, 2025, in all subject areas, with particular interest in candidates who teach and write in:

  • Public Law
  • Private Law


We seek talented faculty with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ideas who wish to make a difference and a major contribution at an extraordinary public law school; and a commitment to enrich our communities through public service.

Candidates must hold a JD, PhD, or SJD/JSD required in a related area from an accredited institution. All applicants must have a demonstrated history of (or potential for) outstanding teaching and scholarly achievements.

UCI Law, founded just 16 years ago, is the newest public law school in California and is highly regarded for its faculty and expert practical training.
