Job Description:

We are seeking an Experienced Geospatial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category, with a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. The selected individual will research, design, and produce thematic and reference maps in support of USCENTCOM finished intelligence. They will work with analytic colleagues to define project requirements and provide advice on processes and procedures for optimal visual presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain sufficient regional expertise to provide substantive input into the final map product, including geographic features, Board of Geographic Names (BGN) rulings, key issues, and recent developments.
  • Collect, analyze, and integrate geographic and substantive data into an effectively designed cartographic product.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cartographic design principles, including color and symbology theory, map projections, thematic and statistical mapping, topographic and reference mapping, display hierarchies, typography, and data generation.
  • Possess knowledge of GIS principles, including data types, data layers, basic geographic analytic and statistical functions, geographic coordinate systems, and data formatting.
  • Experience working with MA Publisher and ARCGIS, animation Autodesk Maya, and 3D design printing.
  • Ideal candidate will possess desired expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Suite 6 or later (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Premier, and Dreamweaver) as well as experience working with intelligence partners, enabling partner collaboration, and knowledge of the Departments of Defense.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Experience with MA Publisher and ARCGIS, animation Autodesk Maya, and 3D design printing.

Desired Education:

A Master's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or a Bachelor's degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master's degree.

Salary Range:

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
