Job Title: Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Networking Expert

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to contribute to the development of our Cloud Networking platform. As a key member of our Network Infrastructure team, you will design, develop, and deploy software and hardware that ensures the reliability, availability, and scalability of our cloud operations.

Responsibilities:

* Contribute to the system and network design for our Cloud Networking infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
* Develop and implement control paths for relevant components, including network and infrastructure elements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy infrastructure software that meets the needs of our datacenter operations.
* Develop and maintain code for infrastructure software, focusing on a variety of areas including: scheduling, scalability, configuration, storage, fault tolerance, storage management & monitoring, distributed systems, and network provisioning & automation.
* Document standards with written procedures, processes, diagrams, and other technical documents.
* Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of infrastructure software.
* Participate in the testing and validation of infrastructure software to ensure it meets quality and reliability standards.
* Collaborate with other Engineers to identify and resolve technical issues, and to continuously improve the design and operation of our datacenter infrastructure.

Requirements:

* Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
* 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on infrastructure software and datacenter operations.
* Demonstrated experience implementing large-scale projects in Go, Java, C++, Rust, or similar.
* In-depth understanding of network protocols and technologies, including: TCP/IP & OSI model, DNS & DHCP, and BGP.
* Comfortable with all aspects of rigorous software development and maintenance (version control, code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, etc.).
* Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and at least one modern frontend framework (React, Angular.js etc.).
* Strong understanding of system design principles, including scalability, availability, and reliability.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to lead technical initiatives from conception to production.

Expected Compensation:

$140,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
