Join a Comprehensive Care Team as a Renal Transplant Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Renal Transplant Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Corewell Health.

About the Role

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position in our Kidney Acquisition Center - Royal Oak. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating care for potential kidney and liver transplant recipients, as well as live donors.

  • Coordinate patient care throughout the referral, evaluation, and testing phases.
  • Collaborate with the transplant team to review test results and develop plans of care.
  • Add patients to the OPTN/UNOS transplant waiting list and manage MELD updates as required.
  • Submit narratives for MELD exceptions for liver transplant candidates on the waitlist as indicated.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of relevant acute nursing experience, preferably in ICU. A Bachelor's degree in nursing from an NLN-approved school is required, as is current registration as a RN in the State of Michigan.

A commitment to maintaining certification in CCTC or obtaining it within two years is also expected.

Compensation and Benefits
