About the Role

We are looking for an experienced RN Manager to provide operational leadership to our case management department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, case management criteria, and strategies to ensure fiscally responsible care management of patients. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in case management, with experience in treatment planning, patient monitoring, and performance improvement. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred, but not required. Previous experience in hospital case management and utilization management is also highly desirable.

About the Job Description

The RN Manager will be responsible for:

  • Participating in treatment planning with physicians and other medical disciplines to provide high-quality care in the least restrictive environment;
  • Monitoring patient progress and making recommendations for admission, continued stay, and discharge criteria;
  • Chairing the weekly Interdisciplinary Outlier Committee and communicating with physicians, directors, and administration about patient needs;
  • Managing the hospital's Utilization Management Program by coordinating plan changes with the Medical Director and administration;
  • Ensuring department staff are managed effectively, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions as needed;
  • Applying state, federal, and other regulatory agencies' functions and standards.
