Document Control Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Document Control Specialist to join our team at Teledyne. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining configuration and revision control of comprehensive product documentation, part numbers, and other ERP system data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update 2D and 3D drawings per change order needs
  • Maintain configuration and revision control of product documentation, part numbers, and ERP system data
  • Process change requests and change orders in ERP
  • Experience with or ability to learn editing schematics and associated PCB drawings in Altium
  • Assist in releasing product drawings and associated parts through engineering to manufacturing
  • Maintain Solid Works Vault and Altium database file structures
  • Support streamlining efforts throughout Document Control
  • Support engineering documentation needs for procurement and shared services VAVE cost reduction initiatives
  • Perform various administrative activities for the Engineering Group

Requirements:

  • A.S. degree in a business or technical field preferred
  • 2-4 years work experience in a Document Control environment; exposure to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering drawings and assembly/test procedures required
  • 2D and 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), Standard ANSI drafting practices
  • Familiarity with schematic capture tools (Altium or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with production methods
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) – IFS familiarity a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and ongoing attention to detail
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Working Environment:

This position requires periods of working behind a desk, performing tasks on computer and significant periods of standing or walking throughout the facility to interface with other associates.
