Welcome to Atrium Hospitality, a leading hotel management company in the United States. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Banquet Set-Up Attendant.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the set-up and preparation of banquet rooms for various functions, including conferences, meetings, and social events. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and arrange conference equipment in conference rooms according to event specifications and standards.
  • Daily thorough cleaning of classrooms, ballrooms, and team rooms, adhering to proper cleaning standards and ensuring meeting spaces are well-maintained.
  • Refresh meeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
  • Complete special projects as directed by department management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Move convention material boxes, programs, etc., from hotel receiving docks, registration areas, guest rooms, or suites with ease.
  • Bus tables and re-set them as needed, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Resolve guests' issues and create an amazing experience, showcasing exceptional customer service skills.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with culinary and stewarding staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Be aware of all functions, events, and meetings taking place at any given time, ensuring seamless execution.

Requirements

  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs. at shoulder height and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
  • Highly detailed oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Thrives in a teamwork environment, supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A problem solver with a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
  • Comfortable being on their feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing.
  • Able to bend, squat, push, and pull frequently.

Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $15.00 - $15.75 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to a daily pay system, our associates enjoy significant travel discounts on Marriott and/or Hilton properties, 401(k) plans, medical insurance, and other property-specific benefits.
